About Us

Who we are.

King Homes Charity was initially started in 2013 by a group of friends in High School with a shared vision. They saw the need to give back to society and help those who weren’t as privileged as themselves. We started by visiting rehabilitation centers and orphanages. With time, the vision grew bigger, and then an organization was formed, and a family evolved. Our volunteers, who are persons between the ages of 16-30, have been a major influence in the success of the organization by handling specific roles and have succeeded in ensuring the completion and successes of our projects and programs. It is also an avenue for young people who have an aching desire and passion for rural community development, society-building, and poverty alleviation to express and fulfill their passion in its entirety. We currently have over 100 volunteer members as of December 2021. Over the years, King Homes Charity has visited several communities, and orphanages to render assistance and provisions to them. In 2019, KHC held a Children’s Day program at Ago- Egun, Bariga, Lagos, where we reached out to over 200 kids in the community, putting smiles on their faces. This outreach birthed a new era in the organization, and we have gone on to carry out several other projects in the community, and we still plan to achieve more in this community and several others.

To provide children and teenagers with opportunities and tools to reach their full potentials and aid them in becoming upstanding members of the society.

I have had the special privilege of starting and running King Homes Charity along with other trustees, friends, and a committed team of young professionals. Together, we have restlessly striven to create positive change in underserved communities by championing initiatives aimed at empowering the children in those communities.

Over the years, through partnerships and hard work, we have successfully provided basic needs such as clothing, mosquito nets, food items, etc to residents in these areas of interest.

The King Homes Charity Learning Center was recently launched in Ago-Egun community, Bariga, Lagos in January 2022. The purpose of this center, which presently accomodates 25 children from the community, is to bridge the communication gap between disadvantaged kids in the neighborhood and the external world by supplying them with adequate tutoring in our English as a second language (ESL) program.

I am highly encouraged by the dedication of our volunteers and the support of our sponsors, and I strongly believe that with enough social capital, motivating leadership, funding, and faith in our abilities, we will go on to improve many more communities through child development.

Thank You
